it's insane how people take things for granted. just like people who live in the states for decades and never learn even rudimentary English.
I had some friends in university (a T10 uni, btw), who got masters degrees and worked on H-1B and E-B2s, continually re-upping them post-graduation, and you can only do this like 2 times for E visas afaicr (2x 3 year renewals). Then... they had to leave if they didn't have their GC by that point or transition to a J or O visa.
Mind you, some of these guys were extremely intelligent and hard working... and still got kicked out of the US after 6 years (they moved to Europe or back home, often to European nations desu) because they didn't take their visa status seriously enough.
was crazy seeing them panicking about their visas, meanwhile we let in about a hundred million absolute shitters and give them 5 star hotels and infinite free gibs. lol
