Jews have been involved with America since colonial times. Haym Solomon and the shabbos Robert Morris financed the Revolution. A quarter of the Buttonwood Agreement signers, which founded the New York Stock Exchange, were Jewish. The Jewish slave traders expelled from Brazil ended up in Southport, Connecticut and South Carolina. This was before German Jews like Schiff arrived in the 1800s or the shtetl Jews arrived in the early 1900s.
