No, anon. The law only directed the SecDef to form a commission for the renaming of the forts to people who were not associated with the confederacy. This was done, and resulted in Ft. Benning being renamed to Ft. Moore, Bragg to Liberty, and so on, and so on. What the Hegseth has done is to find SMs who share the same last names as the Confederate Generals and renamed to forts after them so as to essentially revert the name changes without technically violating the directive set by congress. This is, of course, a little wink and nudge, because the real goal is to appease faggots who want to keep honoring traitors by naming our bases after them, so they'll ignore the various corporals, privates, etc that were used to revert the name changes, and it will continue to be about the old name. It's a stupid game, and after this administration is over, the names will go back, same with the Gulf of Mexico.
