Does the lack of access to family unit formation and life milestones like owning property and starting a family a direct cause of the NEET-epidemic where millions upon millions of young males between the ages of 18 - 40 have completely dropped out of the workforce entirely?

New data released this year shows that Males (of all races) with College Degrees now have the same unemployment rate as those with nothing but high school diplomas or GEDs while the same is not true for women.
Is this blatant discrimination against males a factor in why such a larger percentage of young males are refusing to participate? Can civilization continue without the labor of young males?
Even more recent data shows that despite only making up 6% of the work force 85% of recent graduates from Gen Z are unemployed. These are mechanical engineers, biologists, STEM degrees not the "useless" degrees that many blame for unemployment among recent graduates this is despite the stock value of major corporations continuing to rise which is signalling that this unemployment period is not like 2008 or the dotcom crash as the corporations are not hurting, if anything they are getting richer by removing their workers and replacing them with foreign workers or AI.
