Sudanese civil war
Gathering some information on this conflict, any Sudanchads around here that know who's supporting who in this? Officially no country admits anything of course, but it's an open secret that the UAE is backing RSF. What other countries are involved in this?

>black christian pagan south vs north islamic arab north have war
>south win, declare independence, south sudan formed
>north sudan later have coup, remove islamist dictator
>supporters (mostly black, want peace with south sudan their christian cousins and ethiopia) of removed arab supremacist islamist dictator (janjaweed, now RSF) want to restore islamist government, start war with new liberal sudan gov who they call kuffar and traitors. blacks already have south sudan.
>can't take capital Khartoum, create new capital in Darfur where they used to supress local black population during war with south sudan
>two govs fighting, can't break through stalemate, north sudan now starting to split into two more countries which neither side wants, only wants to rule all north sudan
>whole conflict is related to the christian vs muslim war in Central African Republic

Sudan in Arabic means "black country", if they want an Arab country Egypt is right there they can go to. the whole country is basically another buffer like Ukraine, the war was going to happen eventually.

not that clear cut of course, as others have noticed lots of the RSF are clearly fully black and not arab at all and lots of arabs supprted the coup and new regime, especially in Khartoum. nobody will give a summary because they will be accused of racism/islamophobia

the RSF also tend to have this weird kemet ancient egypt hairstyle in a twist of irony. but then Egypt is arab. lots of implications how they came to that conclusion.

So is South Sudan and CAR involved in his directly? Can you please elaborate on this? And does anyone know which side the neighbouring countries are backing?

the Sundanese army struck a deal with the RSF that let their soldiers safely flee from el-Fasher and abandon thousands of civilians to be slaughtered by the RSF

South Sudan and CAR are currently going through their own civil war (South Sudan: Dinka vs Nuer christian pagans annd CAR: christians vs muslims) and areh ardly stable stats themselves. they will be involved in skrimishes in Darfur because it's so huge, everyone in that region are all cattle herders because they can't grow foo so they fight over it, steal from each other etc. Sudan has just joined the norm in that region. Mali is also about to collapse due to islamists.

the closest comparion we would have to them and how they live would be cowboys. one guy has 100 cows, you're about to starve or want to get married so you take 5 of his cows. now he has to come after you and get them back. add different religion and languages and now foreign weapons coming in and that's it.

I know they have been pretty successful in this region, did they take any major settlements already like they did in Iraq and Syria back in the day? How effective are they in controlling land?

everyone in Mali is what we would call an "islamist" like most muslim countries, it's the capital that isn't, previously propped up by France and US, now nobody. they are hitting the capital constantly and if they take it then they control the whole country. like what happened to Afghanistan, now Sudan, soon to be Mali.

>now nobody

Russia does prop them up actually with Wagner. but that probably isn't going to hold much longer. Sudan on the other hand have the whole world involved because of the Red Sea and Suez Canal.

Hemedti and Burhan were close and overthrew Bashir together and the war is basically just a personal power struggle between these two
