Google's AI can see deleted Youtube videos, to which there is no link. Nothing posted to the web is ever deleted. They are archiving everything.

So these videos I saw (of a Kawasaki H2 SX SE night riding) from 2019 were deleted without a trace anywhere - except in Google's AI. No video or links are provided only the titles and description that can't be found at all anywhere else.

When asked for links, it failed but insisted it had provided links.

The titles are in description. Apparently Google's AI can see the videos and access them despite them not existing online.

This suggests that Google's AI is able to access an offline version of at least YouTube including deleted videos. This IS political.

I just tried to make it show me the same results and it's refusing to. I've been typed in the same titles it just gave me and it says they don't exist online...

What other explanation is there for this. Also does anyone else have to enter captcha with fucking circles above the characters every time???!

I posted a video for a class project in highschool English. We hated that teacher, and it was over a required reading about a book that detailed child soldiers in Liberia, so one of the mad lads in my group literally ground up smarties and sniffed it like it was cocaine at the first 20 seconds of our 3 minute video and coughed and sneezed a fuck ton, shit was cash. We had a scene where we went to a back road in the country and swerved and did donuts, while playing gun shot noises on the speakers (with the windows down). Ha, those were the days
She failed us, but the class fucking laughed hard. I’m not even sure why she let us play the entire video, we thought for sure she was going to yeet it hard after the smarties scene

Obviously. Why else would they show you a place holder of "video was deleted" or 'account was deleted/terminated" instead of just redirecting to home?

Where is this showing? I'm asking Gemini and Youtube's AI assistant but can't trigger this. There's no doubt they save metadata, but the AI the description is interesting. It's worth noting that years before ChatGPT we had basic AI that would describe images/videos. I feel like it's old descriptions since they would love to save disk space, but would love to test on some of my 10+ year old vids.

They're not legally allowed to do this. I'm not saying they aren't (many illegal things are being done, obviously), but its part of their own TOS that says they will remove deleted videos within like 48 hours (or whatever it says).

Most videos on the platform are shit to be fair, but that said there are some lost videos I wish I could see again if it were possible. Many of them weren't "removed" by the consent of the uploader. But if a video is "removed" by Google for "TOS violations" they should still honor their part and actually remove it for real instead of this bullshit.
