Do the Japanese feel the country's decline?
When I was a child, everything in my house was from Japanese companies: Toshiba, Sony, Paranosic, Sharp, etc. But now it's either Korean or Chinese.

I think Japan only remains relevant today because of anime.

Not really, no. Right now everyone is upset about the price of rice being really high, but that's only because Japanese people are too proud to buy imported rice which is much cheaper.

Japan is still the most popular tourist destination in the world, only behind places like Paris. Our hospitality industry is thriving. Too many tourists is our current problem. We also have foreigners rushing in to buy up all our Japanese Domestic Market products: watches, whiskey, cars, etc. The Toyota Corolla is the most popular car in the world and the Prius is the most popular hybrid in the world.

The truth is Japanese people don't care what foreigners have in their homes. We're happy keeping all our good shit for ourselves.

Japan was content with shutting itself off for 200 years with no real concern over technology and the economy. It cares very little of the outside world. In a time where all economies are heading towards mass decline, you'll find the surrounding countries mimicking Japan for a second time.

It's simply a matter of manufacturing plants moved to countries with lower labor costs.
India and Southeast Asia will likely fulfill the same role in the near future.
That's just how manufacturing works.

And Japan has already shifted to other high-value-added industries.

This image is very concerning.
I wonder what surnames the jew uses in Japan to hide themselves; the decline was obviously intentionally steering towards general foreign takeover: a consistent pattern with jewish people, when they invade nations.
Hope it gets better.
Anime started sucking since of late and it's underlined by the general folk indulging in nostalgia, over embracing new series.
Even Pokémon is relying on foreigners to stay relevant; sustained, for the time being, with physical merchandise over proper games as of late.
Get well, you're infested with jews and their army of foreign indentured goyim.

There are various high-value-added products, but to name one example, sensor systems—primarily used in smartphone cameras—haven't been stolen by neighboring countries yet.
Japan's global market share has been increasing again in recent years.

Furthermore, semiconductor manufacturing in Asian countries often requires Japanese materials and equipment.

In other words, these products aren't sold directly to consumers, so there's little need for advertising—which is why they remain relatively unknown.

You guys have 2 serious problems:

Your internal debt. I cannot fathom those inept shitheads in charge in the 1990's who thought dumping money on wasteful infrastructure (which lined the pockets of yakuza and their construction business buddies) in a developed country instead of using it to enact educational and entrepreneurial initiatives for start-ups and expanding Japan's youth.

Your only hope with the debt is that the borrowers die prematurely before they want to cash in and the heirs/beneficiaries don't want the money back either.

The other is your lack of backbone. Be more assertive and nuanced in understanding international markets. Deftly work the politics of East Asia and not rely on the US so much.

Having a strong military will not be profitable for Japan actually, this is a trap.

If you want to profit from your military, you would have to behave like the anglos.
And if you behave like the anglos, there is a very large probability your race will be genocided in the coming war.

If they don't, they're about to as another 500,000 Indian Hindu rape rat pedophiles comes flooding in. Indian Hindus are already the #1 foreign background for rape in Japan. May nips correct me if I’m wrong
But Japan is not in decline, other than birth rates.
Outside of Tokyo and a few other highly westernized urban areas, the way of life has not much changed. Rural areas were deserted long ago, but were only localized centers of the pure working class in the first place. Rural Japan has seen population decline because there is no reason to industrialize further. Food can be imported and the farmer class no longer truly exists. Thus those living simple lives can continue to live simple lives. Those that wish to live in high population centers can. Don’t forget there’s large populations of ethnically pure Japanese (I forget the exact term) living in the islands of Hokkaido etc that never experienced large ethnic change stemming from the times of warring samurai clans
Even now the dense urban centers and tourism are only effecting themselves. Outside of Tokyo and in general most Japanese are not bilingual with English, and even then it’s similar in “fad” with weebs as fashion and hyperstylized cultural riffs
Japan will see more and more influence from the also highly westernized Korea in the near future rather than the west. Plastic surgery and K-pop, more culturally relevant than baseball.

I doubt the average Japanese cares much. Per capita GDP has been stagnant for decades but core consumer prices have remained stable or deflationary, housing prices haven't reached crazy heights like in the west and the wealth inequality is among the lowest in the world. Taking nuclear reactors back online is a wise decision as well.

You may be just too young. Japan is in total decline, and for a long time already. Basically slow free fall.

They used to be so big, since fiction writers predicted future ruled by Japanese corporations. Every electronic stuff and thing was made in Japan. Now its all but irrelevant industry wise. Sure they have some thing going, but instead of futurustig robot operated edem it was preditect to be, now its outdated country filled with dieing old people and no prospects for improvement.

First Korea overtook them, now China. And the reason they are in such bad shape is since US feared their economy and took steps to destroy it, which, Japan being defacto colony, had to just take in without means to oppose.

Japan maintains image of normalcy, but the last 30 years were depressive and the issues accumulate. Eventually can lead to 60th of last century levels of instability and "lost generations".
