At the end of the day, all cities across the world are all different flavours of the same shit and have the same problems.
I wish I could go back to my tiny hometown surrounded by hills and live a calm life surrounded by families that have known each other for generations and businesses and places that have been cornerstones of the local comunity for god knows how long like my parents did.
Unfortunately they have jewed us out of being able to live a life like that as rural salaries are not even close to enough to live the life that previous generations did and so much people have left for the cities by now and small town businesses closed that even towns that have held up relatively well like mine have completely lost their soul too.
We are doomed to live as strangers among strangers that come and go in a strange land. Actual community and human connection is dead for good, sacrificed to keep the modern economy going. This is why, no matter how much you try to promote natalism, even the richer and statistically happier developed countries are heading towards extinction-tier birthrates.
