What form of government would be ideal for the United States?
Serious question. If the U.S. could start from scratch, what political model should replace the current system?
I made a Strawpoll to get a sense of what /pol/ thinks.

Feel free to explain your pick, what makes it better than what there is now?

If you want to live in a land flowing with milk and honey, then your leaders must all be dairy farmers and beekeepers. Simple as. Any and all who disagree can exile themselves to Israel where they can practice usurious mammonism and litigious lawfare to their hearts' content among their fellow christ-killing pharisees

Demarchy/Sortition is the only correct answer.

Honestly why? Why should the 51% have the right to dictate to the 49%? Democracy should only be used for smale scale community level systems where everyone agrees to it for very very limited practical applications.

Demarchy would turn politics into something like jury duty and adapted to the American system it would replace either the house or the senate with several thousand duly selected citizens. The other checks and balances would remain the same and people would still be elected to the House/Senate replacement. This would fix 90% of our political problems.

Just use the mad chimaera government of Sparta.
>oligarchy of only male citizens can govern.
>male citizens are all in the army, trained from young, those who don't make it are not allowed to participate in government
>2 kings are elected, they can basically do whatever they want, but because there are 2 of them, they are each other's check and balances
>any decisions that neither King could be bothered about are left to the assembly.
>nobody contests for the assembly, all eligible citizen draw random lots
>debates in the assembly are not settled by voting, but by shouting matches until one party gives up.

two tiered sortition
people vote in a round of policy changes and additions to be submitted to the lottery.
a policy lottery is then drawn
and then an administrative lottery is drawn of citizens that are tasked with implimenting policy.
the political party system is crippling us now and chinas centrally planned economy is absolutely mogging us.

This is actually a good idea.
