For example if a young entrepreneur in hi 20's want to start a new contruction company?
I have an idea.

We tariff China by 500% an forbid him from buying affordable cranes, trucks, excavators.
That way he will never be a threat to our contruction company.
We will force him to buy unaffordable Made in Usa an crush him before he can even set foot in our industry.

There are plenty of jobs out there, you just got to grind to make money. I know two separate cases where these guys grinded with same company for over 10 years before they made +100K. One is working for an exclusive hotel, the other for a major hardware company.

If you think your crappy degree is going to win you six figures out of university, you’re a dumb animal and don’t deserve minimum wage.

GRIND, BABY! You don’t deserve anything until you’re in your late 30’s and have experience with whatever it is you do.

My job(s) are mostly being replaced by AI. I’m a writer, editor, and graphic designer. Some outlets I used to freelance for have replaced me and others with AI. Publications I would do copy editing for now use AI. The content portion of editing is still not completely replaceable with AI, but that is coming soon. For graphic design, AI still cannot do layout, but that is coming soon. AI can create logos, illustrations, and is making great strides toward being able to generate perfect tables and charts.

So, I’d say there’s really only 30% or so of me that is not replaceable by AI….. YET.

A lot of people don't realize just how bad the '80s recession really was. Many people alive today don't even have a conceptualization of what it's like to live through a real recession. They have no idea the level of desperation that people will develop because they have never even been within several orders of magnitude of it in their lives.

There are people who genuinely believe those days are over and can never return again "because we have safety nets". They're wrong, but how could they know?

They're not, "careers" are fake and gay, and working so much is an anachronistic remain of the Industrial Revolution. Nothing short of protectionism, isolationism, expelling all racial foreigners, outlawing salaried work for women, establishing an NS economy, killing the bankers and establishing UBI will fix this.

Peasants in the middle ages worked way less hours than we do today, only the most braindead boomers think you should be proud of pointless busywork. We don't need a big workforce today because of technology, there simply aren't enough jobs for more than 5 to 10% of the population at most, so they become gifts jews give to everything not Aryan, instead of useful tasks.

It really sucks. You know, I went back to school for the graphic design, thinking it would make me more useful as a writer/editor. Now I’m watching both skillsets get gradually phased out. Down the toad we’re going to get hit HARD by a competency crisis in multiple fields. AI is not going to be able to replace everything. An example is in writing/journalism. You can fire all of your junior staff and replace them with AI, but when it comes time for your senior editor to retire, who is going to replace them? Gonna be a lot of that kind of thing happening in the white collar industry.

10% is generous. I’d say closer to a third of all humans will die of starvation before 2040. Just based on desertification stats

It's not AI. AI can't do jack shit yet. They just want you to think it is. It's just banks lending recklessly. Then they have to raise interest rates to curb inflation. Then companies can't hire because there is no liquidity. This cycle has been repeated so many times

It's ok. All the big companies can just lobby the government or give some gifts to the presidents to get exceptions for the tariffs. Truly a system that is very fair to small businesses

Shit needs to get way worse before it gets better. Right now the pace of progress has slowed and future projections are dismal but overall state is still pretty solid (migrants wouldn't be flocking to the west if it wasn't)

Which are fake and gay. Look at fuckin Cairo and Egypt population stats and compare it to the amount of arable land and how they're an inverse relationship then slap yourself for being so far up the ivory tower the lack of oxygen rendered you retarded

2040? man that's grim thinking. i don't think anything will greatly impact the human population until oil becomes more expensive. if you think about it, the main reason why we can support so many people is because we discovered oil. oil is in everything and is deeply embedded in all manufacturing and transportation.

oil will never "run out". not that it is abiotic (this is a myth), but we'll eventually get all the easily accessible oil out and have to drill deeper to get to it. what happens when oil is too expensive to use? food becomes a problem because fertilizer needs oil. this will lead to a cascade of problems, ultimately resulting in a sharp drop of our population.

this won't happen in our lifetimes but it will be reality one day

HAH, boomers had a head start.
Anything you can buy, they can afford far more. You will still be crushed.
And it's exactly what you deserve.

I'm arguing your strategy is the good tratgy you deserve though???
A HIGHER tariff is exactly what you need.

>grinded with same company for over 10 years before they made +100K
this is pathetic, not admirable. $100k per year is barely a middle class salary anymore and is equal to a $40k salary 50 years ago. If your friends had grinded for 10 years from $80k/yr to $300k+ with bonuses or company stake then that would be admirable.
