I was born and raised in it, I can tell you whatever you want to know. Short answer no, both Judaism and Christianity are the same thing, and my crystal ball says both are going to be on hard times over the next decades as it tries to revive its image so that the general public doesn't get mad enough to have all of these people's books burned in piles doused with gasoline, and then have them all relocated to the middle east, so that the Israelis can get the green light to kill everyone there that displeases them, including the Christians.

What kind of christian? I yearn for some community and meaning in my life. I'm suprised to hear that christianity will lose relevance in the coming years. I was under the impression that many feel the why that I described and religion, in the west specifically christianity, is the most accessible way to achieve that. Dropping the zionism/jew worshipping would help.

As a Christian, if you are honestly asking this question to make a decision based on the decision of anonymous faggots, then no, you should not. Unless you actually believe in the historical, theological, or philosophical arguments for Christianity, you should just stick to whatever you are. I would recommend looking into different religious and reading some philosophy to figure out what you find most compelling as a worldview rather than just adopting a religion on a whim because of vibes.
>>520542163
Do you actually believe in their theology though? That they're the true Church? If asking which flavor is best is a euphemism for asking which diocese is most "based," then that would be the Serbs and Russians. But even so, I don't think it's logically sound to convert just because they're more traditional.

Not as much as the Eastern religions, since they have way more spiritual practices that can be followed non-dogmatically. Christianity at the end of the day is mostly dogma. There might be an anti-Abrahamic or gnostic recontextualization of Jesus himself though, but that remains to be seen.

I understand, and I'm sympathetic. I'm not sure my recommendation of which "flavor" said it loud enough, but Eastern Orthodoxy is my affiliation. I'm just saying that you should have a good idea of what Eastern Orthodoxy is and how it's distinguished from other Christian denominations before converting. Don't just do it out of frustration, (though your frustration is well-placed).

None. Our religions are more used as an ethnic and political tool. This is why slavs are based, it's not anything related to modernity actually. It's because we subverted christcuckery and made it serve the national purpose. The Bulgarian Empire was the first to subvert it like this and heretically split from Constantinople to advance nationalist goals, but I'm not going to pester you with our history.

If you're asking that question seriously, start by trying to understand the religion philosophically. Ask why people believe in God, not in the reddit strawman sense, why would so many intelligent people see so much value in faith. Do a serious cost benefit analysis of fostering a spiritual relationship in your life. Visit a few churches, listen to a few sermons, and see if it strikes you as compelling or satisfying. If a pastor's sermon speaks to you then continue attending. This is how I became Christian and it eventually became one of the most fulfilling parts of my life.

There isn't much of a mystical side to Christianity, certainly not anymore, and certainly not one that can be separated from the mythology. There isn't a mystical system like Yoga, Tantra, or even Kabbalah. The majority of Christianity the religion is just affirming the mythology, trying to get others to affirm the mythology, and waiting for Jesus to come back. Esoteric readings of the text are shunned.

I've been Russian Orthodox for a while now, but I was raised in the OCA, (Orthodox Church of America.) I went to a Serbian Church when I was in college, and me and my family history with attending liturgical services Greek Monastery. I don't know how familiar you are with the distinctions between the different types of Orthodoxy, but they can sometimes come off as being greater than they actually are to people unfamiliar with Eastern Orthodoxy. Though there are real distinctions that make me prefer remaining Russian, for the most part being one or another usually goes back to a matter of preference if multiple options are available to you, or accessibility if you live out in the boonies somewhere. At least, that's the reality for American Orthodox.
Also, if you're referring to the Traditional Latin Mass, I think it makes sense you'd get that impression given that both have pretty old roots. I'd like to see one in-person at some point out of personal interest.

Pretty much. They came from the missions that arrived through missionaries and immigration during the pre-revolutionary era. Today they're pretty culturally American though, and they tend to house a lot of different influences from the other strains within Orthodoxy. They're no longer distinctly Russian.
Russian Churches in the present that exist in America are under the jurisdiction of ROCOR, (Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia,) which was born from clergy who fled the revolution in Russia first to Europe and then to other countries. They were basically the ROC-in-exile for a while. The OCA became its own thing and eventually had its autocephalous status recognized, whereas ROCOR today is an autonomous jurisdiction of the Russian Church which governs most of its Churches outside of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.

If you're not sure the Bible is the word of God watch: youtube.com/watch?v=9l5ZEsXjNVI
1 Cor. 15:3-4: “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
How to know you're saved: youtube.com/watch?v=EAtR40sue5M
Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Jesus Christ is God who has come in the flesh from heaven. He died as a sinless sacrifice for the sins of the whole world to save you from eternal hell, the punishment for your sin. He was buried, then resurrected and then ascended to heaven. John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 10:28: "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
God wants to forgive you, but you have a choice: Either choose this evil world and be punished along with it, or choose to submit to the will of God and be saved. Your own deeds, no matter how good you think they are, can NEVER justify you or keep you saved. You're corrupt and need to be saved. Romans 5:9: “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, in what HE did for you. Only He can wash away all of your sins with His blood. Salvation is a gift, it can't be earned. Do you choose the righteousness of God or your righteousness?
Eph. 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
