First of all there aren't even THAT many jobs that REALLY require a high IQ. Sure you need brainiacs to be researchers, high-level engineers, and so on but most "cognitively involved" work can be handled by people in the 105-120 range. We graduate enough of these people every year to fill all the roles we have in terms of raw cognitive capacity to do them, employers are just spoiled brats who want to pay peanuts and do no training so they bitch and whine to the government that they "need" slavejeets (despite the fact that it's an open secret that their competence and credentials are exaggerated)
