As a professional NEET, SNAP is just supplementary to the main welfare I receive which is SSI (not affected by any government shutdown)
Elite NEETs already have other sources of welfare or another plan in place. Only the noobs will be affected by this shutdown.
I've been on SNAP since I was 15 (am now 31, so over half my life at this point) and at certain points it was the only thing keeping me fed. So I do feel empathy for younger adults that might be from a rough home and need that shit to survive.
That said I blame the democrats entirely for this shutdown.

have any of you gone to the store to scoop up the deals that this crisis is causing? i usually buy the same kind of food as poor people do anyway but today at the store IT WAS ALL ON SALE. i got four cottage cheese tubs for $1.50 a piece. i got a rack of ribs for five dollars a pound, six little energy drinks for fifty cents a pop, and a half gallon of pre-mixed coffee, milk, and sugar for three dollars and it's a brand name item! things are never this cheap. literally everything i bought was HALF OFF. who would have thought that millions of people suffering because they can't get their sloppa for free right now would benefit me personally? chicken was $1/lb. half gallons of milk for $1.50. those two were tied to a new digital coupon system though and i always pass when they try to force that shit on me. eggs too if i remember correctly.
