They're having a recession right now. A pretty bad one too. It's just the corporate media in the west is paid by the CCP to ignore their problems and they don't report on their own problems. It's hard to get a clear picture of a nation with a great firewall and a complicit "western" media but information does get out and things are dire in china. Their lockdowns were harsher than ours and it's taken longer to pull out of, they never fully did. Then Trump got elected and started pressuring them. They overestimated their soft power and pushed back in that dumb as fuck "wolf warrior" way and it blew up in their faces. They alienated themselves from their belt and road partners and thatwhole initiative has been put on indefinite hiatus. Now there's rising unrest in china and they're moving military equipment around to either scare the subversive parts of the population or give confidence to the more patriotic parts. The CCP's biggest threat is the billion people it tries to control entirely.
Did you know that US companies were sharing technology with china they shouldn't have been and that propelled their own internal spying network much farther than it ever could have gotten on its own? Lots of interesting information has been coming out due to our own government shutdown.
