Being against the Iraq War is the surest sign of a midwit who has never grown out of their juvenile beliefs implanted in them during the 00s by late night comedy hosts.
The only reason commies were against the war is because it was an objectively good thing for the US and for the region. Allowing a crumbling dictator who wants to kill you to remain in power while he frantically attempts to obtain WMDs is idiotic foreign policy and no good President would allow it.

No one has made a compelling argument against this. All of the arguments against the war have fallen apart since the 00s too.
>muh WMD lie
Read 'the bomb in my back garden'. Saddam was absolutely intent on getting WMDs.
>Muh destabilization
Allowing an increasingly hostile and failing state under Saddam to exist would be the most destabilizing force in the Middle East possible. You'd have had to deal with a hell of a lot more than ISIS in the aftermath of that.
>Muh oil
A disproven Michael Moore talking point from the Bush years. The US never made massive oil gains from Iraq, most of the contracts in Iraq ended up going to places like China and Arab league countries.

So you agreed with the (idiotic short termist) US foreign policy to support him years prior?

> You clearly don't give a shit about the people who died, so why would their liberty matter?
Because Saddam's regime was on its way out at the time no matter what. Either the US got involved or it would be Turkey, who would do a shit job and the country of Iraq would have fallen apart into separate failed states.
The fact that Iraq as a country still exists is a testament to the US doing a good job overall.

And it would be morally just to remove it too.
