I always thought Perkins, pre 80s, were the best to work on. They’re a CAT subsidiary now which isn’t entirely a bad thing but the old stuff was so well put together that it was a genuine pleasure to take apart. They’re still in use as stationary engines in some industrial settings

With a modern Audi and the like you have to go at least 250 before it becomes effortful.
By my standards anyway, and it's also a speed where you'll notice the limitations of the autobahn especially in older sections. Don't have a clear view, fast enough. michigan and some heavy industry areas they can legally haul 300k of specific highways.

the US I6s are built for a million miles, of generally gentle grade highways. we still build monsters bigger than the scania, but they're only used by logging companies. and haul 250-300k of trailers/logs on private roads

left was made for urban driving while right was made for long hauls. Since europe has more urban driving cab-over is the preferred truck, since since USA has more long haul driving americans prefer the big rig. The big rig is more comfortable overall but being maneuverable is also more comfortable than stressing tight turns.

For production cars attainable by mortals, they are up there. The ZR1 and ZR1X are only beaten by cars that you can't actually obtain (Manthey GT2 RS), or cost $300k+ (AMG GT Black, the AMG one is about 3 million). The corvette ZR1X comes in at under 250k.

can confirm peterbilt is a joke that only exists because the body style is nice. currently in a coffin sleeper with the only curtain between the bed and the cab. all the vents and climate control are on the dash. the shifting is also complete ass although our other trucks dont have this problem. i like our auto 10 speed kenny with the studio sleeper best. the x15 is fine until you need to sleep with the engine on to keep the fridge and climate going. also these retards put the def tank on the wrong side while scania already has tier 4 emmisions engines that dont need def. fuck jeets and foreigners stealing my fucking freight i dont care if you speak english you're not welcome in america, kill yourself.
