NYC will just be an advertisement for how bad communism/socialism is for government and it will likely make more democrats take moderate positions. NYC is already in a horrible place because no one wants to build and half of all apartments are already rent stabilized and rents is still unaffordable for most people. He's going to subsidize more rent freezing/stabilization and nothing will get built and landlords will just hold empty buildings. His government run grocery stores will just run all the bodegas out of business because you can't compete with subsidized groceries.

If anything these is good for Destiny's more moderate establishment dem position and they will start to distance themselves from the far left positions.
