I used to hate going to mass, but after visiting a bunch of different Protestant services and a bunch of different churches, I would a hundred percent prefer listening to Father Warren (RIP) and doing Catholic aerobics. Catholic mass just has fucking soul, it’s not about the ego of the priest, it doesn’t dress itself up like a broadway show. It’s a simple, quiet time for contemplation, a nice reading and how it pertains to your life, then you sing some nice hymns and eat a shitty cracker. There’s not a fake spirituality to it because it’s unpretentious and peaceful.
