Gambler's Economy
The ENTIRE US economy is run on gambling at this point. Nobody invests in anything based on things like profitability, long term sustainability, quality of work, or any of that. Everyone who invests any money in any company or stock or crypto is just buying a lottery ticket and hoping to 100x their money, this is true even for the largets investment firms, banks, and corporations in America. This fact is OBVIOUS when you see things like bitcoin being worth $100k each even though they're essentially useless digital tokens, Tesla being valued higher than the rest of the entire US auto industry combined, Gamestop stock prices being artificially inflated by redditors on a whim. I'm not even going to get into the sports betting crisis, it's out of control. This all stems from the fact that we've been living in a fake economy for nearly a century now and everyone has caught onto the fact that real honest work that provides goods and services to the community is the absolute worst possible way to make a living in a totally financialized "service" economy and now we're running out of people who have the skills to maintain society while we're absolutely flooded with white collar do nothings who expect 6+ figures for showing up to an office and watching youtube videos of teenagers who make even more money than they do by playing Fortnite and trading internet funny money, which only makes it worse as now the next generation of kids don't even want to be bankers or tech geeks anymore, they want to be streamers and OF models. We're at the point where most people alive right now don't see the point in working because the only thing that makes money is grifting (streamer/e-celeb/consulting/crypto rugpulling) and gambling (stock market/crypto/sports betting)

Well, it really depends on how effective Ai and the fourth industrial revolution works out.
Bezos, and his wise but limited intellect, chose to buy up 100 billion dollars' worth of AI infrastructure, I would hardly call that a bet.

No, Nancy Pelosi is the house. The purpose of setting up places to gamble is to drain money from the people around you. Nancy Pelosi buying stocks is like the owner of a casino walking onto the floor with loaded dice and shooting a few hands for fun and walking away with $100k

it is 100% a blind bet, these guys are all "investing" in AI infrastructure that can't even be built because of the massive energy requirements and Microsoft just cancelled a bunch of data centers because of it. These people don't spend their own money so throwing around insane numbers like $100b means nothing to them when it's coming from gullible marks and a financial system that is literally based on creating money out of thin air.
