I genuinely like Fuentes and have watched his show on and off since 2020, but I seriously don't understand his patriotic shtick. Fuentes is a proud Italian (most of his ancestry is Italian, the rest being Irish and Hispanic). Sometimes he identifies as Italian and Irish. More than that, though, he identifies as Catholic, and makes it a central theme of his movement. I seriously don't understand how he squares this with his Americanism. The United States and its Founding Fathers were Freemasons, sons of the Enlightenment, and the American population was some of the most anti-Catholic in the world outside of Northern Ireland until the 1970s when JFK was such a good president that people stopped giving a shit about Catholics. The main stock of America was English Protestants as well as Loyalists from Ulster whose entire identity was shaped around hating Roman Catholicism. This isn't even to mention that Fuentes is a genetic mix of the ethnicities who faced hostility as immigrant groups, that being Italian, Irish, and Hispanics. Fuentes also seems to fancy his movement as a successor to the Know Nothings, a political party which was founded to oppose Catholicism and Catholic immigration. I mean, Fuentes is literally the exact thing the Know Nothings fought against. It makes no sense. Fuentes even sells the flag of the Know Nothings on his website. The irony is crazy.
Many of his fans have pointed out to him that America was founded as a Protestant nation and his only response is that "Rome is the true origin of the West" or something.
I sound like a Fuentes hater, but I'm really not. Because right now in the West, all that matters is who is or isn't pro-White. Fuentes is pro-White and therefor, I'm pro-Fuentes. That's it.
