Orthodox Jews do, yeah. Rabbis said cooking is work so you're not allowed to do it on the sabbath

It's like Muslim loans where they're still loans + interest but with extra steps

Yeah, the market for sabbath shit is unreal. My coworker asked if I wanted to be his sabbath goy or whatever once, and apparently it’s literally just a whole job where you do stuff that Jews can’t do on the sabbath for them, like asking someone to “sin” to benefit you is a completely normal thing to them

its not a sin for you to do things on sabbath because you are not Jewish, you don't follow their rules.

Yeah I know, but what I’m saying is that if they view it as a sin, why do they make someone else do it for them? That’s like if I wanted to murder someone, but since murder is a sin I just pay someone else to do it for me, so they end up going to hell instead of me.

Like that’s horrible yes? Why is that mentality so normalized???

Kind of like throwing all of your sins into a live chicken and then beating it against a wall long after it has died

Because that someone else isn't Jewish. That person's Sabbath may be on a different day. This is like asking a Jewish person to cover your shift on Easter. Is that a sin?
