This is why they can't release Epstein files
>According to veteran journalist David Shuster, who has worked with MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, several House Republicans have heard directly from Department of Justice contacts that the Epstein documents are “especially compromising” for the president

There are any number of reasons why they wouldn't do it. Remember that it won't just be US politicians implicated, but international figures as well. Including, almost certainly, a member of the british royal family.
Imagine if a saudi prince is on the Epstein list. The US government releasing and acknowledging that connection creates a lot of international tension that could fuck up trade deals. That sort of thing. You also might have ongoing investigations to gather evidence on people on the list to pursue them more directly. If you have half a dozen interpol investigations you are collaborating on to build cases against people who went to the island in Europe, you don't want to blow the lid on the investigation too soon.

Real life isn't like a movie where you just announce that the bad guy was evil and he is punished for his crimes. There's more to it, especially in a case as tangled as this one.

I also think that its likely that the freudian slip early this year was probably accurate, and Trump himself WAS an informant on Epstein. But what that would mean is that he got caught, and there was a deal struck to keep his involvement from coming out in return for his cooperation. In which case, revealing Trump's part of the Epstein files carries additional legal complications because the FBI specifically promised to not do that.

Epstein recruited underage girls from the mar-a-lago spa. Trump has admitted this

They were good friends. It's telling that the most generous thing Maxwell could say was "he didn't rape anyone in front of me".

At the time, we had no one knew Trump was mentioned this much.
There was no reason to use to politically to attack Trump.
But since Trump had thousands of workers scour through the documents to find mentions of him, some people know the extent

If she ran again against Trump, she would lose. As Vice president she almost did nothing interesting and she basically spoke down to union leaders. She only ran because Biden made the decision as a fuck you to the DNC for telling hin to leave, otherwise Biden would have probably won since people were still voting for him out of spite.

The DNC intentionally loses though, and they aren't even happy about winning New York or a lot of elections because they'd rather have Republicans win instead of non corrupt politicians.

Because the files cast a wide net that doesn't discriminate by party affiliation. It has more value as blackmail. That is, after all, why it exists in the first place. The only thing you need to know about our government, government in generally really, is that everybody is involved and everybody is corrupt.
