What needs to happen is people need to understand Democrats shut the government down all this time and did so because of that reason. The problem is Republicans won't do that. Even bigger problem is, even though I don't think removing the filibuster would be beneficial at all, Republicans will still do absolutely nothing to pressure Democrats to do anything. Not in any of the media outlets, no outreach, barely to their faces. If they don't straighten up any time soon (when Trump is gone in 3 years), they're going to struggle very badly.

I agree with this moron, they shouldn't be caving. They should take the recently won elections in purely blue areas (NJ, Virginia, NYC) as a clear indication that everyone loves them. This is the case. The current Dem establishment has likely realized by this point that radicalism doesn't work. Just like a bunch of corporations, they were tricked into thinking that younger generation was going to be far left and were smacked by one that is further right than any other living generation. The democrat establishment desperately wants to moderate so they can continue cashing their checks. But it is a really tough situation. They built up woke shit for decades and made it their whole party. They can't do anything when their whole party forces someone who will fail like Kamala Harris or AOC into a presidential campaign. They are quickly shrinking down into a part of a few fringe cities. The establishment dems are likely willing to do anything to try to ease the collapse.
