I’m in full support of taxing them a whole lot more, but their net worth is a whole lot different than how much money they actually have.
For example, I could own a company worth 1 billion dollars, but the liquid money I have is only about 50 million.
So I’m a billionaire on paper but I only have 50 million that could be taxed.
And that’s just taxing my total liquid wealth I have currently, which isn’t how it works. You tax how much money I make per year, so how much do I make a year? It could be 5 million, so annually you could only tax my 5 million dollars(plus any capital gains from investments and such).
