The only way to actually get anything done within your lifetime is probably to overthrow the government. Politicians, by their very nature, exist to turn 5 year issues into 100 year arguments. That's how they get reelected. The entire system is counter to progress. They have robbed us of our promised future for the sake of their careers and their estates.

As noted above it's not about (the circus of) 'politics' or the elected-office officials: your country/the world is run by an *un*elected class
