"The real distinguishing feature of this human race, however, comes from the general nature of the body, mainly from the formation of the head. On the negro skull, due to the strikingly predominant formation of the facial part against that of the brain skull part, because of the elongation of the two jaws forward, and with the smaller angle of view, an approximation to the formation of monkeys cannot be missed. With a significantly smaller brain, the negro has stronger nerves than the white one, and all of his sensory organs, especially the hearing and face, are excellently developed."

"The remaining bone formation is also different from that of the European. The bony chest cavity is more spacious and arched, the pelvis narrower; the hips deeply bended; Hands and feet are flatter and longer, reminiscent of the monkey."

"the Negro peoples of Africa have been living in the vast expanses of this continent for thousands of years without achieving any higher development."
...."They generally live in abundance, mostly from vegetables, less from meat - which does not rule out the fact that human flesh is also eaten on festive occasions"
..."Their agriculture hardly deserves this name."
...."Some craftsmanship, such as weaving....in the better districts on the Congo, especially in Majombö, these weaving mills are exceptionally delicate. Every now and then there is the skill of coloring, preparing leather and processing metals; their pottery also sometimes deserves recognition."
...."The music that they passionately love is nothing more than a disharmonious sound, caused by noisy instruments such as drums, metal sheets, buffalo horns."
