Russia has escalation dominance. The US Israel and NATO have a lot of enemies around the world. Many of whom wouldn't hesitate to shoot a russian antiship missile at a carrier. Or launch some drones at important bases or infrastructure. Russia always had and has that card to play. You do anything the russians deem dangerous and Iran gets a few zircons and your carrier battle group gets sunk in the straight of hormuz. Or the houthis get some iskanders and the leadership in Israel gets wiped out. That's why russia will never lose this war. Ukraine is just a pawn being sacrificed.
