The “romantic partner” allegations stems from Utah Governor Cox press conference shortly after the killing. We don’t know what the source is on the claim. If Lance Twiggs is the source, then it’s unreliable. Transexuals are, by definition, mentally insane.

Every piece of evidence outside of public official statements (which, again, aren’t a source) is questionable. The text messages seem ridiculously fake. There are a total of zero pictures or social media posts of them together or stating that they’re involved romantically. There’s a statement by a neighbor claiming he saw them kiss in public, but I’ve had spiteful neighbors tell the police a roommate and I were gay (we weren’t). They did live together, but there were three other people in the house, and they didn’t share a bedroom. A lot of less sensational media outlets are avoiding terms like “boyfriend” and “romantic partner” because of the lack of evidence.
