The world can't sustain more than 10 Billion humans
According to the most recent projections by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), the world population is expected to:
Reach about 10.3 billion in the mid-2080s (the “peak”).
Then gradually decline to roughly 10.2 billion by the year 2100.
The descent after the peak is modest: from (approx)10.3 billion down to (approx)10.2 billion by 2100 (a drop of about 100 million).
The stable level (by the end of the century) is projected to be around 10.2 billion.
The population boom happened roughly between 1950-2010 which was driven by more births and fewer deaths (thanks to medicine and agriculture).
The coming slowdown is driven by fewer births, as societies modernize and people choose smaller families.
The population can't grow any further than that
