It's great for about the first 1.5 drinks then everything is slowly downhill from there. Given how toxic it is for the body and that withdrawals can kill you it is surprising how accepted it is in society. I suppose moderation greatly minimises the negative effects, and it does enhance socialisation abilities.

Seen too many lives ruined by it. And the hangovers are not worth it in my 30s. Most people are too stupid for alcohol and i wouldn't mind alcohol being used for fuel instead of drinking.

I used to enjoy listening to music through 2-3 shots of cheap vodka and a few light beers. Later in life I'd do the same once in a while but with a 1.5 liter of cheap wine. Puked my guts out last time I did that, after literally passing out and blacking out. I drank basically the whole thing in about 4 hours on an empty stomach.

Not worth it anymore if you’re wanting to looksmaxx. It caused me to shed hair. Stopping caused skin rejuvenation and hair regrowth. Going to a bar is a huge waste of money and time. Even if you’re a “Chad” it’s still useless, as you’ll never meet a good woman at a bar.

The only time alcohol is even “worth it” is if you’re drinking European wine and having it with a meal. Otherwise, booze is poison.

Let me explain to you all what a hangover or the next day is like after going to a bar the night before in your 30s.

I like the taste. I like to sip on some fine wine or spirit at night. But I profoundly dislike being drunk, so I always stay well within my limit.
I don't understand people who down it without tasting it, or who buy the cheap stuff, or who get wasted and addicted. I think they all have serious problems, aside from alcohol, that they should address first.

Obviously alcohol is a dangerous drug and it has a negative effect on your organs and overall health, but then again, enough drinkers live to see their 80s and beyond when they stop consuming it in extreme ways. You really just have to know when to stop and drink a shit ton of water to counter balance the premature aging it has on your skin due to drying you out.

I got a form of arthritis that is grossly misunderstood, and pot helps a lot. Alcohol helped in a way, but hurt more than it helped. -t. haven't drank in five years and wishes I never did.

I'm a recovering alcoholic and can confirm this is true. When I was in the beginning of my recovery and living in places with other addicts we were looked down on more than even heroin users (rightly or wrongly is up to you I'm just saying how it was) as people saw a sort of glamour with drug use, though that may be the wrong word to use. Either way I'm doing much better now and life is always getting better. Fuck addiction of all kinds but especially alcohol. God bless you all anons and stay healthy!

In theory a single glass of a good wine or a shot of single malt is enjoyable, but it's easier just to abstain totally. I don't binge exactly but I tend to have about three units of alcohol and I usually regret it.

If you're around people the likelihood of real violence increases. Finally your brains are shutting down. For some reason I can drink a quart of scotch in 2 to 2.5 hours and walk straight talk straight.

Binge drinking and drinking for no reason (like at home alone out of boredom) is not the way. Drinking is overrated. If you are going to drink, then do it socially, for a good reason (like someone getting married) but keep it to where it's just light drinking for celebration and socialising. There is a balance where if you have a few beers it can have an effect similar to caffeine and remove some inhibitions to get you to talk to people. Anything beyond that, like especially after 3 drinks, you're going to make a fool of yourself, affect your health etc. There's no real upside to it. When you're young, you can think these stories where you acted like a retard are funny and noteworthy but when you get older you won't see it that way.

Honest take is that I kinda regret drinking for 20 years because it finally caught up to me and it feels like I have dementia. Now I am looking for supplements that improve my cognitive abilities, but I could have avoided it if I hadn't drunk at all. Now I don't drink anymore because I am too afraid I won't consciously experience my grandkids. I'm turning 40 next year and my oldest son is gonna be 4 this week.
