none for several reasons, for starters because as an individual, unless you have millions of dollars or euros and some would say billions, you cannot have an impact in the politics of your country, secondly, reading political theory doesnt enable you to make more money or have the technical background to contribute to society, its something that i would try to put off for as long as possible, lastly, political theory prescribes a model for society in which many people disagree with you, it is different from say drug research, in which both the political right and the left embrace new treatments for cancer or new solutions for problems in engineering.

Nonetheless i would still like to get recs from right wing authors, just to see if im missing something or if im wrong, because i do swing closer to the left.

the way i see it, the left emphasizes human dignity and extends empathy to all, but it can be a bit innocent or foolish, for instance when they say you should abolish ICE or that religious fundamentalists can integrate in socities that are tolerant of gay people, some people say the left is about abolishing hierarchies, i honestly struggle to see the virtues of right wing discourse outside of the idea of fighting for the well being of your country

Political theory when applied correctly is an infinitely scalable, universally applicable system of organization, accountability, and relationship management with built in heuristics for evaluation. Without knowledge of the subject, you cannot meaningfully engage with the content, and that happens to be the fundamental democratic concentric organization of every single system you interact with. Since you dont understand these systems, you cant identify areas of friction, you lack the words to organize your thoughts to articulate the problems you experience, and the fundamental understanding of how to enact any sort of change whatsoever.

Some but not much. You don't have to read volumes of books when real world consequences can be observed. If you read marx/engels you will go through thousands of pages describing utopic solutions to problems that exist in capitalism. The reality of the situation is nobody will ever try marxism because anyone spearheading a revolution is going to want a reward (higher standard of living) than the retards they say they are fighting the revolution to help, so you end up with marxist-lenninists who have a core group of (jewish) professional revolutionaries who become the new nobility. Capitalism/libertarianism are just as dumb, just as marxists are naive and believe everyone will be equal, libertarians are naive because they believe everyone is a rational actor and by participating in a free market everyone can benefit and prosper, when the reality is you end up with monopolies and corporate oppression/exploitation rather than state sponsored oppression.
