I got rejected from all the medical schools I applied to in 2018 and 2019, even though my advisor told me I'd be a solid candidate (3.9, 522, and over 1000 hours clinicals). Year 3 of applications I had an epiphany. I put myself down as a black female on a few schools I didn't care about too much. I got rejected for all my schools again except the ones I said I was black. Got interviews right away. I figured I'd show up to one just in case the interviewers didn't pay attention to my packet. As soon as they see my face the 2 women on the call look shocked. Interview lasted 10 minutes. "Okay anon, we'll keep in touch." Never heard back from them.
I now commit timesheet fraud for a medical group. Work 5 hours a week for full salary.
