Because the scientific method is a process of logical analysis, not a fucking dogmatic religion in which self-appointed academics act as priests and interpret data in whichever way they please to support their "scientific" orthodoxy.

"Intellectuals" are almost exclusively composed of charlatans who believe they are morally superior to others, and will rewrite any definition or perform incredible mental gymnastics to justify enforcing their moral beliefs on others. They lack control of their own lives and so feel a compulsion to extend some measure of control over the lives of other people in the guise of "trust the science bro."

Except when it is EXACTLY that like in the social sciences. You are vastly ignorant of the real issues plaguing modern science - specifically the replication crisis, but also the infiltration of the left to install politics as science fact. People worship the concept of science and scientist act as sort of priests dishing out whatever narrative that the people will swallow up and scientists of the past are venerated as saints.
