Intelligence is a survival tool. 1000 years ago your intelligence would have been invested in planning/managing food supplies and making the best tools possible from whatever crummy materials were available (intelligence enabling your ancestors to do so with reduced mistakes because of the high costs). Socializing, education and the concepts your ancestors wanted to build stories from would have been much simpler and smaller in scope. Things are much more complex now and nothing in your biology has changed much since a thousand years ago aside from your gene pool not being condensed from a single village. We are all way out of our depth and wondering why nothing works right; we are functionally medieval primitives suddenly holding smart phones.

I’m basically retarded in every single way, like i couldn’t even pass pre-college algebra to get placed into a college course. The only thing I seem that have is an extremely high level of self awareness, and I have above average verbal and written comprehension. That must not mean anything though because I’m still just a 30 year old low skilled wagie.
