This is actually a good plan by the conservatives. They're trying to cull the old and useless so that the young can have homes and inheritance. A 75 year old boomer doesn't need the latest medical treatment. He's had a good life. Let him die.

It's hard to believe that one couldn't get private healthcare for less than this. The solution may be in pooling things as employers do. But if we are subsidizing this much for over 65 this shit is not sustainable and already is wreaking havoc by way of deaths of despair, birth rate and economic decline. That money will run out and then what? The alternative to not destroying under 40s for the sake of everyone else is death by small arms being the leading cause of death.

Do you not get why this is bad retard? those people did not have healthcare before because the insurers, rightfully, said if we insure you at normal prices, the negative impact as a whole on all other policyholders goes up. That is how an insurance company is ran. The overwhelming majority of our national spending per year is on this shitty program; the people who should not have been insured now abuse insurance. You euros like to laugh about Americans being fat, but the ACA made that issue 100x worse. Again, you faggots have to ignore the whole impact of your retarded legislation and just extract a tag line ("MORE PEOPLE HAVE INSURANCE, THAT MEANS ITS GOOD) to shill your ideas to the working class people you truly despise on the inside. kill yourself genuinely.

>Lets lower the price of health care so it's affordable for everyone
This is the problem with it though; they didn't lower the price. The price is the same. The part of the premium that the end user pays is lower, yes, but the overall price paid is the same because the ACA makes that healthcare affordable by agreeing to pay anything above a certain amount directly out of government coffers. That doesn't reduce the price at all, it just reallocates where the money comes from, which is a critical distinction.

And don't forget, part of the deal was that for at least a few years, it became a requirement to have health insurance, as in the government forced you to buy policies from private corporations, even if it was through a government sponsored marketplace. So not only was the government handing private companies big insurance premiums, it was also putting a gun to everyone's head and forcing them to be customers where they might not've been otherwise.

It definitely shouldn't have been criticized as socialist since it was the farthest thing from, it was a huge handout to every health insurance company. And just like in any other industry that has infinity government dollars flowing into private pockets, such as defense, government contracting or student loans, the presence of infinity government dollars has driven prices up, not down. America still spends more per capita because the ACA just converted health insurance into another one of the looter industries.

Democrats (and leftists in general) main goal is to fund big corporations and line their pockets. Many democrats are full on owned by different companies. I remember hearing about a democrat senator owned by Disney that will always vote for what they want. Most democrat social policies amount to blockbusting too. Leftists are literally all captured by something else. Always doing what they can to line someone's pockets at the expense of civilization. This is obvious to everyone except their brainwashed cultists.

500 per month is already too high, the treatment itself CANNOT be more expensive than this shit. I mean my wisdom tooth extractions cost 300 each, and that's without any insurance at a private clinic. Altogether is less than 3 mo ths of that 500$ insurance, and such things only happen ONCE. 4k per month could only be worth it if they have to glue your spine back together from 1000 pieces or something.
Also how tf can they still ask you to pay part of the cost after taking that much
>>521154198
the real problem is why is your healthcare that expensive in the first place, you are overpaying for 10x the price at least. I had some things done at places that don't have contract with insurance companies and it wasn't anywhere near as much as what you guys are paying.

All this arguing over convoluted insurance coverages distracts from the elephant in the room:
American healthcare costs are an insane scam.

That's another aspect of private healthcare, ironically a direct result of the free market. Insurance companies want good deals, they want to be able to go back to their boss and say they got X% off, and they want discounts only available through them to encourage people to buy their insurance. They accomplish that by negotiating prices down with the providers; hospitals, out patient clinics, doctors, etc. But of course the providers have the same expenses no matter what, they actually can't give much of a discount if anything, they already priced it at the minimum they need.

So what they do is they mark up the price a ludicrous amount, then give a "discount" which removes the mark-up, which then gets them back to the price they need while giving the guy at the insurance company the "discount" he wants.

And while everybody in the industry understands this is how it works, and that there isn't really a discount, it still works because it says it's a discount. As long as we can all plausibly pretend, it's good.

This screws over regular people who don't know that when you're charged $50,000 for getting your anus fingered by a resident, you're supposed to call the hospital billing department and tell them that you don't have insurance, then you'll get the real price of $5.

>>521159232
