WWE historically has been the worse product. WWWF was the worst territory because they were able to coast on population density. The didn’t have good matches or the top feuds, but they did have cities full of retards who wanted to see what happened when the big Italian and the big Pollock did arm wrenches on each other.
When Vince took over he used that money his father earned to buy up local television, over pay top stars and run opposition shows at a loss. This was beta max vs vhs. We got stuck with the worse product because the person whose product sucked was willing to lose money to gain a monopoly.
That said modern wrestling is bad that wwe has become the best promotion in terms of quality and standards. But you’d be better off watching any wrestling from before 2010 instead.

ive watched a ton ajpw from the 70s but i really like thekla and shes my favorite wrestler now. in her final stardom match they did like 10+ minutes where every single strike in the entire match looked like it connected, told a fun story and even interacted with fans and the authority character sitting at ringside when they went brawling outside, only 1 mild botch in the entire match. such a simple match other than a couple of high spots and shes in character every single second! everything she does shes doing while in character, i just hope she can do the same in AEW
