Tom is much worse than Kerry. And I love slayer. But Tom is dogshit at bass. Kerry is fine at guitar. He's technically proficient but his writing is pretty mediocre and his "solos" are abysmal. They're not in 200 capacity nightclubs. 1,500 to 7,000 seat amphitheatres and arenas are normal peak Megadeth outside of festivals and whatnot. Few outside of Metallica, Guns N Roses and AC/DC have ever done stadiums and they make sure to have known opening acts also. We laugh about Jannetty, but to someone outside this bubble he was a successful wrestler, world tag champ on ESPN and with WWF, and Intercontinental champion. Many of the metal bands are more comparable to Sabu, legends in their subgenres so to speak, but commercially blown away by Bon Jovi and Madonna. Motorhead never even had a gold album in the USA.
