I wasn't upset with austin for walking out. I was upset with time moving forward and requiring this in the end. austin did nothing wrong. He gave it back at XIX. but god damn the attitude era for ending. god time time for marching on.

Genuinely, both parties were wrong here. Wanting Steve to lose a PPV level match on free TV was a fucking retarded idea, they were throwing money away with an idea like that. At the same time, Steve storming away actively harmed his image at the time. Really, both parties should have been able to come to a compromise. Why not have it end in something like a draw/ count out/ run in disqualification, etc. There's a thousand ways you could make sure Steve not get visually pinned, and make a story out of it.
