Look at picrel kino. Back then, the "wrestlers" would be found randomly wandering the streets, get a call and quit whatever was their shitshow of a previous job and start "wrasslin" for cash in hand. No 2000 stomach crunches, no rolling around the ring 4000 supervised by pauletty to be selected by some fat washout PC trainer like A train. Just pure raw masculine energy and the will to entertain. The fans thought of the wrestlers as legit tough guys and enjoyed it organically.

It's so fucked up now there is no point anymore. This one move would get more reactions than all the trained flips today.

Wrestling pre-2000 was a magical time where you could still travel the country relatively affordably and all the major pro wrestlers were just legendary big guys who happened to be around a gym somewhere and got discovered. These types of guys ironically work event security now.

Neither of them were just picked up off the street at random. Promoters went out and looked for interesting people with interesting backstories that could be worked into their characters. People like that only develop organically, you can't just mass produce them and that's why NXT is such a dumb idea. They think they can just crank out stars like an assembly line, and it's never going to work that way. What we need is for corporate FAGGOTS to stop attempting to micromanage every single person and event. They need to quit fucking around and let nature take its course.
