During this period, Hogan put over Brock on free TV right after Austin refused to
As long as I live, I will ALWAYS remind people of that

While it was cool, both those matches should have been PPV matches.
He also tapped to Kurt Angle.

Austin can make up all of the excuses he wants, he knew his time was up and was soon going to be replaced.

>Hogan put over Brock on the condition he'd be getting his win back later, brother
>when Vince laid down the law and said no, Hogan too walked out and was off TV for several months between summer 02 and February of 03, almost as long as Austin
Funny how this part is always conveniently left out. Don't worry, I'll always remind you of that.

That's still better than refusing to job because every wrestler knows the card is subject to change.

So where did you think he went and why?
I mean you did notice he was off tv for 6 months, since you were definitely alive and watching then right?

Hogan putting over Brock on a random show actually did more than if it had been a PPV. Nobody expected Hogan to job on a random Smackdown but if they had built up a PPV it would have been at least a 50/50 on who was going over.

Brock winning the the bear hug sold it even more too. Kids at school were legit buzzing about that because nobody ever wins with a bear hug so people started saying Brock was legit out of control and going into business for himself. Hogan's entire run had been pretty much feel good nostalgia up to that point so it was a major whiplash to see him beaten to a bloody pulp and getting the life squeezed out of him. There was a definite vibe that Brock had gone too far and was taking liberties with an old man who was just there to have a good time with the fans.

t. saw it happen on TV and talked about it in the lunch room
