Not sure how I feel about Kidd winning this. I don't care about AEW at all but I feel like their involvement with NJPW has almost always been a net negative and it really did feel like some of the fire in Kidd was gone going into this match. It's gonna blow if he gets poached. On the other hand I think Tsuji losing the belt can only do him good going into the G1.

I liked the GT-R Kai, it felt like a fitting step up from the GT-R. This, however, feels like a really fitting next level of finisher. I really like this. Remains to be seen if people can perform it this well consistently, but I have a feeling (or at least hope) it'll be rare.

I wasn't super won over by these guys' grappling, they both felt kinda sluggish. Might be Zane Jay being unable to keep up given that the LA Dojo might not have the same combat sports experience requirement that the Noge Dojo does, I believe commentary mentioned him having a background in athletics/general sports but nothing wrestling related.
Matsumoto's character work though, damn. Such raw fury. At one point he's got Zane in a leg lock just screaming DIE!!!!!!! in his face. Fucking awesome. Really excited to see where he goes from here.

Kek, for me it was the weird cartoon boxing pose he does when locking up. Inoki's the one guy that could pull that off. I was really impressed with Zane on his final US match, so I'm sure he'll get back to it with some time adjusting in Japan.
