I think TKO knows WWE has an expiration date. That once Punk retires that will be it, the majority of the old guard that people love will be gone and there is barely anyone else to replace them. Maybe that's why they hold new people back because they want to ring as must nostalgia juice out then sell the company in 2 years when everyone is gone.
