She has a great fleshed out character before all across her story with Mariah May. She had lost the title and unraveled to the point of becoming delusional and believing she was some golden age Hollywood star. Everyone around her called her crazy. Then Mariah May came along pretending to be a super fan of hers and fed into her delusions and everything that happened from there. The overtly sexual side of her character stemmed from a bunch of tongue in cheek nods to old Hollywood type things like key parties and prostitution etc. But it was just a side part of her actual character and the rivalries she was having. The overarching story with May kept her character grounded too so even as ridiculous as it got, it never got too goofy
Now that story is done and her booking and writing has fallen off a cliff. Every other word out of her mouth is some pointless sex joke or vaginal reference and it means nothing but a cheap laugh. Was that way through her feud with Megan Bayne and has only continued on since

I disagree. I think the Timeless character still has so much more legs to it. She's a woman who's deluded into thinking she's an old time Hollywood actress. She could play different roles each month for a decade and still not run out of material. I don't know if I'd say it was carried as much as her character was for sure at its best with her around. They played off of each other brilliantly, whether that was while they were together or feuding. Like others pointed out it added a depth to Toni's entire act that's been missing ever since. Their chemistry was great and both really benefited from everything they did with the other.
