People thought AEW might fail when it was new and unproven between 2019 and early to mid 2020. No one predicted its demise between late 2020 and August 2023. So here's the TRVKE:
AEW will never "die" as in disappear. Worst case, it will be dropped by everyone but some committed shitters and become an indie promotion without any real exposure. That can and most likely will happen.
Unless Tony sells the company to someone who's got a clue and fucks off from Wrestling forever (but still bankrolls everything because god knows they need the money), it will keep meandering in mediocrity, hyped by obsessed smarks who want their wrestling to be "artisanal" and who want to feel special, despite consuming the same if not worse slop E-Gods do. They had 3 break-out stars in their entire existence so far (meaning stars that put them on the map for normies and the world wide media consciousness in general):
Cody Rhodes (now back with the fed), Kenny Omega (very old now and with one leg in the grave already) and the Costco guys (now gone after their 15 minutes of fame). Everyone else is just "known" here on /pw/ and squaredcircle, and even that is kinda iffy.
This will never change until someone in AEW gets a clue.
