>>18148977Who the fuck is defending WWE? People are just straight up misrepresenting statistics. Nobody goes to live events, Network, movies and PPVs have been dead for a long while, they don't do DVDs or print magazines. That's a statement of fact that is inarguable regardless of whether you are a seething e-drone or a dumb AEWtist. Yet they still make a large amount of money because they went to Netflix, they put ads on any blank canvas available within camera shot, they license out the ass and would kill their children for the SA prince. Yeah, they 100% make more money than they used to, they aren't dying at all, and yet hardcore wrestling fans are fewer. This is because in the past wrestling was a culture thing. It was cool to go to events. They were full of fans who loved watching it, brought signs, chanted shit, bought merch, and were generally invested in the product. Modern fans just watch all the shit on their Netflix subscription they were already paying for. My girlfriend, who has never watched wrestling ever in her life watched the entire second day of Wrestlemania, but she'll never set foot in an arena. Times are changing. Wrestling as you remember it is well and truly dead. If streaming services didn't exist, WWE wouldn't be as big as it is. They are just way smarter than their competition and saw the tide turning before everyone else.
