This. Which is ultimately the best fate a wrestler can hope for.

i say this with neither respect or admiration, but i firmly believe that john cena should play the villain in lifetime movies for the rest of his career. he'd be perfect for it

Bret Hart 2.0 in the sense that he was a dimeless faggots who kept things somewhat stable but ultimately wasn't over.

Being the main culprit of making wrestling uncool with his manchild gimmick.

Lesser Hulk Hogan. It would have been better had he was allowed to keep his rapper character. As it stands, his time at the top pushed away many people from wrestling.

Off-topic but if Cawdy wins against Cena, i quit. Unless seff cash in post match. At least supercena wasn't a corpo dog/nepobabby like cawdy.

cena's time at the top was directly responsible for ruining the perception of wrestling among the general population, as well as a great decline in both quality and business. he ruined wrestling 20 years ago, him doing it now means nothing. his legacy will be divided - there will always be marks that grew up with him thinking he's the goat, and he does have a certain cultural capital because he was one of maybe 3 wrestlers to transition into household name celebrities alongside rock and hogan. the WWE will certainly present him as the greatest ever, they can't do it with hogan anymore so they need someone new and unproblematic, and it is unlikely anyone besides maybe randy if he's on his best behavior breaks 17. but knowers know, he was never really any good and did more harm than good.
