Rumor is he was trying to sign with another company, and it's a strict rule in Japan not to have conversations while under contract with another promotion. When Dragon Gate's Big R Shimizu got caught talking to GLEAT last year, he got suspended indefinitely and GLEAT's ownership had to come out and say they would never pursue a talent like that again.
