I don't think they make money based off of ratings any more though, they've got sponsors all over the ring and stuff plus whatever netflix is paying them. Otherwise they're just chasing the number to try and what, get shafted on ad rates because marketers don't know wrestling fans have disposable income?
Also I'm sure they have all sorts of 'engagement metrics' and other cope to somehow prove that they're actually more societally relevant than other.

That's depressing lol. I'm curious about the process of calculating the view numbers on streaming services. From what I understand, they don't release those numbers but somehow Dave is able to extrapolate that Raw is losing viewers but AEW is staying the same/increasing? How do people trust Dave doing math anyways? He doesn't strike me as someone who's reputable in statistics unless he's phoning in Tony Khan who will of course shit on WWE
