A little later, I noticed the woman had disappeared. Turns out she moved a few rows ahead and was sitting there instead. So I figured the guy had wanted that seat from the beginning and was trying to pressure her to move.
After she left, I told the guy, “I think this is actually your seat, and she had the wrong one,” and he just gave me a nasty look like “why are you talking to me?”
Then, he slammed his backpack back onto the middle seat again. I was like, wow. I didn’t want to back down, so I crossed my legs super wide to take up space, almost touching his bag, like, “I’m not letting you win.” He kept hunching in closer, but I stood my ground.
After a few hours, I needed to use the bathroom. I looked over and he was totally asleep. I didn’t want to touch him, so I pressed the call button to get the flight attendant. When the male flight attendant gently tapped his shoulder, he woke up and instantly stood up. Like, if you’re gonna get up that fast, you could’ve responded to me!

Seriously, men or women, nationality or race—it doesn’t matter. If you can’t behave decently on a plane, how do you expect anything in life to go right for you? People like that are just sad.
Oh, and then today on the train, a crowded one, the doors opened and a bunch of people clearly needed to get off, but there was this old dude standing right in the center like a statue. Just move a little! Why don’t people get that?
