>Hipsters jump on the bandwagon and now you have unironic jeets and c*n*di*ns stinking up the genre
White people can't have our own culture because the jews astroturf everything with subhumans, and the rootless cosmopolitian slave class eats it up because they are too stupid to know better.

I was born and raised on bluegrass, have a lot of family ties to it. Billy Strings really blew up the genre recently but there was always a bit of a hipster element to the bluegrass scene.
Anyway RIP Tony Rice

Modern country is full of pop and hip hop hooks and the biggest โ€œcountryโ€ star now is Beyonce

WWE is 100% going to just be boxing & celebrity wrestling matches in a decade. Probably why they don't even bother to attempt to make new stars, they want them from the outside world to get your co-workers to watch "The New Attitude Era: Starring Your Favorite Follows from Instagram!"

britfag here, didn't really know country outside of the most famous ones like Cash, Parton, Nelson, Rogers. I tuned into the country music awards one night cus i was stoned and i thought it was funny but i was blown away about how much rap was all over the show. This was when Country and Rap was crossing over, i think the big rappers there were Nelly and Ludacris. Country music became the funniest thing I had ever heard, the absolute peak of this was That's My Kind Of Night where he's like "uh huh my big black jacked up truck listening to T-pain cooking catfish" hands down the funniest song ever.

lmfao i remember this one from my brief fascination into the genre.
in fact i swear they promoted this on WWE at one point.
At least that one, My Kind of Night and shit like Accidental Racist is defensible by how funny and cheesey it is. The new stuff I hear (like Morgan Wallen which people here legitimately listen to now) and Florida Georgia Line (who I knew from WWE) is sooooo fucking boring. I don't get it. Also, before this wave started I guess with the Nelly and Ludacris crossover, was it a requisite to have lyrics "chewing tobacco and drinking moonshine in my f150 on the old dirt road"
cus these lyrics seems so over the top idk how the fans who relate to them don't feel like they're being made fun of. Are they really that stupid?

>"chewing tobacco and drinking moonshine in my f150 on the old dirt road"
on second thought, lyrics like this are beyond pastiche but it's really no different to metal music talking about satan and witchcraft every song and rap music about gang life in the most romantic way. I don't even know the genre very well but I imagine there's artists in Country who don't talk about old dirt roads every song to remind people it's Country music .... right? Where's the depth in this genre these days? I'm willing to listen if anyone has any suggestions.
